Visual push-ups #3: hats, beer and a dog.

Fairs, festivals or very busy streets are great venues for street photography. But sometimes there are too many people, to the point that it makes it difficult to isolate a few subjects to create something good. Such was the case the last few weeks when I attended a few art events in South Florida and walked around Bourbon street in New Orleans. These are some of the images I made. I hope you enjoy them.

“A great photograph is a distillation, a reduction of the chaos of our wider experience to a visually satisfying essence where what is excluded is as important as what is included.” – David Ward

  1. absolutely brilliant and you are right about crowds…sometimes it’s impossible!! I especially like the one with the woman sitting against a bin and how her skin is almost the same colour as the face of the statue in the foreground and the guy in the middle kind of joins them together..at least that’s how my brain sees it anyway LOL..so well done I will share this for sure!!

  2. Its like you learn my mind! You appear to know so much about this, such as you wrote the book in it or something. I believe that you just could do with some % to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, that is great blog. A fantastic read. I will certainly be back.|
